Hello Friends-
As many of you know Dana is here at the Portland Adventist Hospital having surgery for her Poly-cystic Ovary Syndrome today. We arrived this morning at 9am and got Dana prepped for surgery, fed Josiah and they just took Dana back to the Operating Room to get going. Josiah and I are hanging out in the waiting area for the next 2 hours until the surgery is completed and Dana is waking up. I will be sure to post as soon as I have news. In the meantime, if you would like to pray, pray specifically that:
1) During the surgery that they will be able to accomplish it laproscopically (small incision). There is a possibility that if the ovaries are difficult to access they may have to make a longer C-section style incision- which we do not want (for many reasons). So pray that Dr. Nakamura is able to have sucess with the laproscopy.
2) Pray that the surgery is successful in general, and that Dana will be able to reap the most optimum benefit from the procedure.
3) Pray for Josiah that at his next feeding (approx 12:30pm) that he will take the breastmilk we have pumped and stored for today through the bottle.
Thanks for your prayers. We'll post more information as soon as we are able!
Shawn & Dana
